Members of AAEX and Monaghan Poets and Songwriters Group (MOPOSOGS) began the collaborative project, Awash With Colour, in the summer of 2021.
Each member was invited to submit a piece to the project, which was then randomly assigned to a member of the other group to produce a piece in response.
Many of the participants had never met before. But over three very special evenings on Zoom the responses were revealed; forty six amazing pieces with new friendships forged.
The first outing for the project was Culture Night, part of AAEX Art in the Park, 17th -19th September 2021.
Recordings from a series of radio interviews with artist / writer pairings on Dundalk FM’s Town Talk programme can be found on the AAEX YouTube channel.
The first exhibition for the project opens 9th December 2021, Íontas Arts Centre, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.
